Wooddean Progress Update - December 2020

The contractor, Covanburn Contracts of East Kilbride, started on site on 19 October. The original play equipment has been removed off site and the retaining timber sleeper wall for the new play facility has been erected, setting levels for the ground modelling in relation to the finished design. The land drainage works are ongoing with the wetland area material now removed to allow further drainage to take place. Excavation work is continuing for the new pedestrian pathways leading to the park entrance on Blantyre Mill Road in addition to ongoing drainage work and associated ground modelling.

The contractual works are currently on target in accordance with the agreed programme with a view to the project being practically completed on 22nd January 2021.
